North Korea's foreign ministry says the U.S. has decided to remove the country from its list of nations that sponsor terrorism.

The U.S. hasn't confirmed the decision, but according to a North Korean foreign ministry spokesman, the decision to remove North Korea from the list came during a meeting this weekend in Geneva, Switzerland.

North Korea apparently agreed to declare and disable all its nuclear facilities by the end of this year. This is the first time that North Korea has offered a timeline on ending its secretive nuclear program.
