Families of South Korean Hostages Thank Government

The South Korean government was thanked for its help in securing the release of the South Korean hostages in Afghanistan.

Some 20 family members of the former hostages met South Korean Foreign Minister Song Min–Soon today. They handed him 23 roses to represent the 23 hostages who were held captive, along with an appreciation letter. Nineteen of the hostages were freed last week after being held six weeks by Taliban insurgents; they arrived home yesterday.
