RSVP stands for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. In the 2006-2007 school year, sixty RSVP volunteers contributed more than five-thousand hours tutoring six-hundred students.

The volunteers with this program are making an impact in Mesa County Schools, an impact more than just one party is feeling.

The teachers, students, and volunteers benefit from this program. Volunteer Beth Littleton quotes it as, "everyone is a teacher and a learner."

RSVP is holding their annual training class Friday, September 14, 2007 from 9am to 3pm. It will take place at Emerson School House on 9th and Ute. The class is free and lunch will be provided. You must be over the age of fifty-five and of course have a passion for helping children.
