A Central High School teacher receives an award from an international organization.

The Jaycees, or The United States Junior Chamber include members like Larry Bird, Bill Clinton and numerous Business Executives. They not only fund-raise for various charities, but also help with the development of lifelong personal and professional skills in today’s youth.

This past weekend, Amber Campbell, a Central High School Orchestra teacher has been awarded the Jaycees "Outstanding Young Coloradoan" award. The local Jaycee chapter says Campbell was nominated because her students are always talking about how great of a teacher and person she is.

Campbell and her orchestra has received numerous awards including gold ratings for the past three years at the Heritage Music Festival.
