98th Annual Fall Festival

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) - The town of Fruita is hosting its 98th annual fall festival.
this is a community event that brings out people of all ages.
Festival goers put on their dancing shoes Friday night for the dance in the street.
Saturday is military appreciation day. The festival concludes on Sunday with the 5k stampede run.

Michelle Melgares, of the Fruita chamber of commerce says the festival is important,” This is a fund raiser for the chamber of commerce, so we take that money, and translate it into trying to help our business in this area to be successful, and to support our members. It very important and also gives a huge economic boost to our tax base and retail businesses."

Members of the chamber of commerce encourage people in the valley to come out check out the festival and all the new improvements that have been made to the downtown area.
