MONTROSE, Colo. (KKCO) - A memorial fund and service have been set up for popular Montrose DJ Rick Steele, who tragically drowned in a canal earlier this month.
According to Steele's radio station 103.7 "The Blast", donations are now being accepted at Alpine bank locations in Montrose. The money will be used to help pay for his funeral and offset travel expenses so his family members can attend.
A public memorial service has been scheduled for 11:00am on Saturday, July 31 at Grace Community Church. Those planning to attend are encouraged to carpool as they are expecting a large turnout.
