Denver, Colo. (KKCO) --- At a hearing in Denver on Wednesday, a federal court judge told both sides of the ongoing gun law battle that she felt she had nothing to rule on after attorneys banged out an agreement late Tuesday.
The new agreement says that magazines with removable baseplates are removed from the ban and are not recognized as being adaptable to hold more rounds.
Opponents of the law say that the wording is too vague and confuses everyone affected.
"Virtually they were banning guns," says owner of Jerry's Outdoor Sports, Jerry Stehman. "Every semi-automatic gun, that's how you make a magazine is you have to have a removable floor plate. You put the follower in, you put the spring in and then you put the floor plate in."
While opponents are still pushing for a full injunction of the law, they say the agreement is a necessary step in the right direction.
