Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and for ten students with disabilities at the Center for Independence, that's absolutely true.
For the last seven weeks, students have been taking a photography workshop to help tell the stories of people with disabilities.
The class is funded by a $15,000 grant.
With the grant, the Center for Independence was able to purchase cameras, a printer and pay instructors to teach the classes.
Some of the student''s work will be displayed at this year's winter ArtFest, which is Feb. 28 at Two Rivers Winery.
