Area governments proclaim January Crime Stoppers Awareness Month

MESA COUNTY, Colo.-- January is National Crime Stoppers Awareness Month and the local program is shining the spotlight on efforts in Mesa County.

Area government groups will proclaim January as Crime Stoppers Awareness Month at their first meetings of the year starting with Mesa County Commissioners at the Monday morning meeting.

Board members of the non-profit will be at each proclamation to make brief remarks about the success of the program for the past 3 decades. Volunteers will be joined by their law enforcement partners.

Tuesday Jan. 5, 7:00 p..m. Fruita Civic Center
-Grand Junction City Council
Wednesday Jan. 6, 7:00 p.m. Grand Junction City Hall
-Palisade Town Council
Tuesday Jan. 12, 6:00 p.m. Palisade Civic Center
