`Argo' wins best picture Oscar

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- There was a surprise and a sharing of the wealth at the Oscars.

The surprise was Ang Lee as best director for "Life of Pi," which won four awards. As expected, best picture went to "Argo."

Daniel Day-Lewis won best actor for "Lincoln," while Jennifer Lawrence took the best actress statuette for "Silver Linings Playbook."
