Art contest to increase electronic waste awareness

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado and the Mesa County Solid Waste Management team are holding an art contest to raise awareness of the importance of protecting data and the environment. The goal is to help educate the importance of keeping electronics out of the Landfill.

Participants would have to schedule an appointment to pick up E-Waste supplies from E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado between Mar. 15 and Apr. 1. From there, competitors can create their art work.

Public judging will be at the Earth Day and Southwest Arbor Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Apr. 20. The winners will be announced on Apr. 22 at 10 a.m. at the E-Waste Recyclers of Colorado facility.
