LOVELAND, Colo. Authorities say they have identified a pedestrian who was hit and killed by a freight train in Loveland.

Police say a BNSF train hit the pedestrian just before 11 p.m. Friday as he walked onto the tracks. The victim, who is believed to be between 15 and 20 years old, was found under the train.

Officials had asked for the public's help in identifying the victim. They later said his name had been determined, but did not immediately disclose it.

He was described as 5'6'' to 5'9'' with a medium build and was wearing a white T-shirt, grayish-blue gym shorts and black DC brand shoes.

The train was traveling from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Denver.
