GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking nominations to fill eight vacancies on the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area Advisory Council.

The 10-member citizen advisory council was formed in Dec. 2010 to help the BLM develop a management plan for the Dominguez-Escalante NCA in western Colorado. Members serve three-year terms and may be reappointed.

The council meets two times per year and nominees can expect to commit 15 to 40 hours for meetings.

Individuals may nominate themselves or others. You must have a letter of reference to accompany the nomination form. Final selections will be made by the Secretary of Interior.

Nominations need to be received by May 29. More information and nomination forms will be available at the link below. Please contact Katie Stevens for additional information at 970-244-3000.
