GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Bureau of Land Management will be taking comments from the community on a proposed 2013 mountain bike race. The route would have racers starting in downtown Grand Junction and would have three different paths through Bangs Canyon SRMA.

The three-day race would span Friday through Sunday sometime in September, and organizers expect it would draw some 600 race participants and 1,400 visitors to the Grand Valley.

The BLM is looking for public comments regarding the race until Dec. 19. You can mail them to:
The Grand Junction Field Office
Attn: Carrie Surber
2815 H Road
Grand Junction, CO 81506
