LAYTON, Utah Former BYU football All-America tight end Gordon Hudson has been arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and assault.
Police say officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at Hudson's Layton home late Wednesday night.
Investigators say he had argued with his wife earlier that night and got into a fight with his 23-year-old stepson.
Hudson is accused of returning to the home about an hour later, kicking down both the front door and his wife's locked bedroom door and assaulting his stepson.
Police responded to a 911 call and booked Hudson into the Davis County Jail.
Hudson was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009 after a standout career at BYU from 1980-83. Hudson and quarterback Steve Young earned consensus All-America honors together in 1983.
