GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation and local law enforcement are dealing with a number of crashes along Interstate 70 due to rainy, snowy conditions.
Eastbound I-70 at milemarker 116 in Glenwood Springs is closed after semi trucks became stuck in the area, according to CoTrip.org.
More accidents and snowy weather has forced CDOT to close both lanes of I-70 at Vail Pass (milemarker 180). Personal passenger vehicles can use Highway 91 as a detour, but commercial vehicles won't be allowed on that road. Crews expect this could be a long-term closure.
U.S. Highway 40/Berthoud Pass will be closed overnight, and there's no estimated time of reopening.
U.S. Highway 6/Loveland Pass is also shut down.
Before you head out on a road trip, check CoTrip.org to get the latest weather conditions and road closures.
