GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. People young and old made their way downtown this morning to burn off some calories before their Thanksgiving dinner.

The 7th Annual Turkey Trot kicked off today in it's new location on Main Street.

Officials said they moved the race to downtown from the Redlands to have it be more accessible for everyone who wants to participate.

Competitive runners and even babies in strollers made their way through the 5K run.

The fundraising event raises money for Toys for Tots, Colorado Professional Fire Firefighters, an emergency fund for firefighters and a city assistance fund.

This year marked the biggest run in the Valley with 1,350 people registering.
