GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Michael Blagg - who was convicted in 2004 of first degree murder in the death of his wife Jennifer - continues his fight for a new trial.

Attorneys for both sides say they're still doing research and could not set future court dates. They say they'll be calling witnesses as Blagg's efforts to get a new trial move forward, but they aren't sure just how many.

Today's hearing was set over to the end of next month.

Blagg did not appear in court this morning... He is serving his sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole at the centennial correctional facility.

Blagg's daughter Abbey went missing along with her mother back in 2001 and has never been found.

Abby would now be 18 years old.
