Blast destroys vacant house; no injuries reported

A vacant house in Boulder exploded in Boulder County at around 3:30 a.m. Friday, but luckily no one was injured.


BOULDER, Colo. (AP) -- Authorities say an explosion has destroyed a vacant house in Boulder County, but no injuries have been reported.

Neighbor Bill Mundwiller tells the Boulder Daily Camera ( the blast knocked him out of bed at about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

Nearby houses weren't damaged.

The house is in an incorporated area on Boulder's northeast side.

Sheriff's deputies and Xcel Energy crews were at the scene Friday.
