DENVER (AP) -- Authorities say one person was found dead after a house fire in Golden.

Karlyn Tilley, a spokeswoman for the Golden Fire Department, tells KMGH-TV in Denver the blaze was reported at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, and firefighters were able to contain it to one room. She says investigators are not sure if the fire and the death are related, opening the possibility that the person could have died before the blaze started.

The victim's name has not been released.
