GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Office in Clifton was evacuated after a man makes a bomb threat on Friday.

Witnesses say they heard a man state that there was a bomb in the Clerk's office. The original call into dispatch claimed a man was fighting outside the office.

Authorities arrived on scene and witnessed a bystander sitting on top of Derrold McClanahan, the man that matched the description given to dispatch. Multiple people claimed McClanahan was the man who made the bomb threat.

Deputies did not find a bomb after searching the building, and McClanahan was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges of false reporting of an explosive device, obstructing government operations, resisting arrest, third degree assault, second degree assault of a peace officer and more.
