GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Botanical Gardens held it's first benefit yard sale today to help raise money.
The Botanical Gardens cleaned house and sold everything from artificial flowers to artwork. Books, nick-nacks, and ice-cream were also sold as part of a group of events the gardens are hosting.
Events Coordinator Christine Dingman says if you're worried about the cost, don’t be. It's pretty cheap.
"The prices are unbeatable and we have tons of silk flowers. I know that's strange here at the Botanical Gardens but we had tons of them in our storage. They’re great for weddings, birthdays or for your own personal home décor. We have a huge variety,” says Dingman.
Dingman says there are other events scheduled for the summer that folks will want to check out.
She says there will be plenty of benefit concerts including 'Meant for Movement', a Japanese Relief group as well as local band concerts.
