Boy Scouts: Always prepared with hundreds of Christmas trees

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- With the start of December comes the perfect time to put up your Christmas tree this weekend, and right on time, the Boy Scouts are getting their stock of over 600 freshly-cut Christmas trees today!

The shipment will arrive in Grand Junction this afternoon, and they'll be ready to strap onto your car tomorrow morning starting at 9 a.m.

But take note: They're in a new spot this year, on the corner of 1st and Patterson, just west of Community Hospital Surgical Clinic.

Troop 303 has hosted their Christmas tree lot for over 30 years now.

It's the troop's only fundraiser, and the money helps the scouts take part in summer camp and other activities throughout the year.

The lot is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday through Friday from noon to 9 p.m.
