Bringing Jobs Back to Western Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Manufacturing is a big part of the economy in Western Colorado, and on Thursday the Western Colorado Manufacturing Alliance held their first annual regional summit.

Business professionals and college students attended the event and local companies had the opportunity to network and learn from one another to improve manufacturing on the Western Slope.

"I'd like to see more things happen relationship-wise with the breweries on the Western Slope as well as the wineries," says Talon Wine's Brian Stevens. "I think we have a lot more in common with the manufacturing sector than we know."

Nearly 200 business professionals and students attended the first annual summit.

Many came to network and learn more about the trade, others came to discuss the summit's main topic: reshoring; bringing jobs back to the United States from overseas.
