Authorities say a small brush fire that flared up in Palisade Saturday evening is contained.
It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday night at 3852 G 1/4 Road. Authorities were investigating whether the fire was a controlled burn that was left unattended.
A brush truck was sent to the scene. Witnesses who called in say the fire was alarmingly close to a Palisade vineyard.
