Bullet rips through a residence

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. It was a scary situation when a bullet ripped through a residence Sunday.

Around 1:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon, the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a shot fired call on the 400 block of Broken Arrow Drive.

The victim reported an unknown person fired a shot into their duplex, the bullet went through a wall, ricocheted through their refrigerator, and bounced off several items in the kitchen before landing on the floor.

Upon investigation police discovered the residence where the shot was fired, surrounded the home until the occupants came out.

The three individuals were detained and released, but their weapon was collected for evidence.

The case is currently under investigation.
