Grand Junction, Colo (KKCO) --- The Hispanic Affairs Project and the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition are teaming up to launch a new campaign called Buycott.
Buycott encourages the community to go to local businesses that support comprehensive immigration reform to thank them for their help. So far in Western Colorado, 198 businesses have showed their support for this issue.
A Buycott is a positive attempt to address the situation. Rather than boycotting businesses that do not support immigration reform, this is a way to acknowledge places that are helping in the efforts.
August 4th to the 10th is when the Buycott will be in full effect and for a full list of participating businesses, visit: costatewidebuycott.wordpress.com.
