CMU features percussion ensemble and jazz combos

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – Colorado Mesa University’s Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Combos will present a joint concert in the Moss Performing Arts Center located in the Recital Hall on Monday. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The ensemble will feature two CMU students beginning with work by Nicholas Kent entitled “526 Pine Street” named after the address of Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. CMU senior, Jack Chipchase, will also be featured as the marimba solist on Ney Rosauro’s “Concierto For Marimba”. Other pieces will be presented as well.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students. Call 248-1604 to purchase tickets.
