CMU president Tim Hall says the new building will be a place for all of CMU’s students to enjoy.

"You know when you walk in here on Monday you're going to see students on these stairs, you’re going to these them in these living room areas in the study rooms, they’re just going to be taking advantage of this building and that's good," said Foster.

President Foster also said many of the University’s mass communications majors are very excited to be in the new building and can't wait to use the new production studio.

The 3 story building has several study and living room areas where students can hang out and study, as well as a news and production studio.

Many of the schools literature students were able to participate in the construction of the building by choosing their favorite quotes and painting them on the walls of Escalante Hall.
