GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The student-named "Garfield Hall" was officially opened Friday for new students.

The new hall can hold 208 beds and is completely full for the start of this school year. University officials say that yearly additions and improvements are a great way of attracting new students and funds for the school.

CMU Tim Foster said students are excited about their new and improved living space.

"It's a traditional dorm style although modern," said Foster, "so it has those large lounges and those sorts of areas where students interact."
