Crossfit training: the new workout trend
He’s a pro bmx rider and He trains at Crossfit Red three times a week to get into fighting shape. Co-owner Patrick Bland oversees his training and explains how a workout at Crossfit translates into a better performance on his bike..

" Yeah I’ve been doing Crossfit for a year" says Reid Austin

"It allows him to be quicker off the start, if he falls down he can recover faster, he knows how to recover from a fall better, so his reactions are quicker, There are so many things really" says Crossfit Co-Owner Patrick Bland.

And kids aren't the only ones catching Crossfit fever.. Lanie Pinson is a tri-athlete... She Crossfits five times a week...

" I've actually been able to cut the hours I train and get better times in races, its been amazing,
and I have two little kids that I hope do it as soon as their old enough to be able to do this stuff it's awesome"

If you're worried about being intimidated...Relax...

Sarah Andrews from Crossfit Red says, "The atmosphere is very welcoming and they are willing to get down on their level, they put you through the foundations, They teach you the basics and then you're able to work up from there."

"Its just a good program and its for anyone at any level of fitness that can walk in the door"

Mary-Beth Litshein of Grand Mesa Middle says,

"hey I started just like everybody else. I couldn't do two pull ups in a row, I can do 31 now."

A gym that blends cross training with all shapes and sizes...

The one thing they have in common...Is a will to get fit.
