GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Grand Junction Area Chamber members will be peaking their heads into 1000 local businesses over the next two weeks.

The annual visitation program kicked off Wednesday morning with a breakfast to bring together volunteers and round up supplies to distribute.

35 people went out to deliver Chamber directories and ask for feedback on the organization's services.

As a business owner and Chamber member herself, Heather Lambeth, who owns New Image Realty, said helping out with the visits is a perfect networking opportunity.

"It's a great way for me to get involved in the community, get more contacts, more leads," Lambeth said. "I actually did get a sale from last year delivering the directories, so it's been a great experience for me."

This is the 20th year Chamber volunteers have gone door to door visiting all of the members.
