City Market teaming up with Salvation Army

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Salvation Army and City Market are joining forces this Christmas to make a difference for more than 3,000 low-income children in Mesa County.

City Market has offered space to the Salvation Army because the organization was unable to do all the processing for its Christmas 2012 project in its limited space.

Last year the group was able to assist more than 3,300 children, 1,700 families and 4,600 seniors in our area.

KKCO 11 News is going to be joining the Salvation Army in our annual Christmas food drive. The food drive begins Monday, Nov. 12. Be sure to watch KKCO 11 News at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. this week to find out how you can donate to the cause.
