GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- President's Day doesn't mean a day off from school for the kids, but several state and city offices will be closed today.

Trash services will remain on a normal schedule. City administrative offices will be closed for President's Day.

In honor of the holiday, parking will be free downtown in both metered spots and the garage on Rood Avenue.

On the state level, driver's license offices, the Post Office, the Department of Public Health and Environment offices and executive branch departments will all be closed.

Colorado state parks will be open, but visitor centers will be closed.
