GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Mesa County RSVP is hosting a suicide prevention seminar Wednesday for the first time. It's part of the group's focus this year on health and safety.

Depression in the elderly can lead to suicide, so the class will teach about what signs to look out for.

The class will cover depression in the elderly, how insomnia is related to depression, the types of treatments that are available, how psychotherapy can help and the problems that affect treatment of depression.

The class is Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. in the bottom floor of the U.S. Bank building.
