Clifton Fire Dept. puts out garage and vehicle fire

CLIFTON, Colo. The Clifton Fire Department responded to a two-story residential home located at 494 Chatfield Circle, with fire coming from the garage area on Friday night. Two vehicles in the driveway next to the garage were also involved.

Firefighting crews made an entrance through the front door of the home and moved to the inside of the garage to push the fire back outside.

The fire was contained mainly in the garage with moderate smoke damage throughout the rest of the residence. The garage and the contents sustained heavy fire damage and is considered a total loss. The dollar amount of damage for the structure is $160,000.

Both vehicles were also considered a total loss. The dollar amount of damage for the vehicles is $90,000.

All occupants of the home got out in time and denied any injuries.

Investigators are currently determining the cause of the blaze.
