DENVER (AP) -- Colorado car and truck dealers are encouraged after 2011 finished with strong sales.
A report by the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association said Monday that people went on a holiday spree in December, with new registrations up 25 percent over the previous year.
Dealers say registrations for the year were up more than 15 percent statewide.
Association president Tim Jackson says statewide, there were more than 130,000 new vehicles registered last year, compared to about 113,000 new vehicles in 2010.
