GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. County Commissioner Rose Pugliese made a bold move Monday by shaving her head all for a good cause.

She took on the challenge to raise $5,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and in return would sport a bald-do to raise awareness for childhood cancer. She beat her goal by $300 and said she's proud of what she's done.

Pugliese was down $700 as of Saturday night and didn't think she would make it to her goal, but she says the community came together for this good cause. She shaved off 12 inches of her hair and will donate to Locks of Love.

The fundraising doesn't stop there several county employees and residents are participating in a big event for St. Baldrick's on Saturday and will also be shaving their heads.
