GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Valentine's Day not only has people showing love for family and friends, but also the less fortunate.
The Share the Love food drive encouraged people to give to Food Bank of the Rockies for the holiday.
"The food banks are getting depleted, so we wanted to do another food drive to make sure they had food for the needy people," said Glenn Stanko, of Iron Horse Llama Ranch.
Two llamas were decked out in Valentine's apparel to draw in crowds and bags of food at Grand Junction Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Saturday.
"We like to use our resources, which is the llamas, to give back to the community and doing a food drive is one of the best ways you can do it," Stanko said.
The event raised 525 lbs of food, which is equivalent to about 400 meals.
Food Bank of the Rockies provides food to area organizations such as homeless shelters, the Salvation Army and churches.
