Concert series benefits Roice-Hurst

GRAND JUNCTION Tonight animal lovers from all over the Grand Valley gathered to support one very lovable cause.

It was the fifth annual event to benefit Roice-Hurst at Grand River Vineyards. The fundraiser was a part of the "Hear it Through the Grapevine" summer concert series.
A local acoustic-americana group, Stray Grass, performed at the vineyard and Berna B's chipped in as well to cater the event.

"It's all about the animals," Mark Davis from Roice-Hurst said. "We just love being able to help them, take care of them and place them in their homes."

Attendees were invited to bring their own picnic, but wine and soft drinks were also available to the crowd.
All of the money earned will go straight to Roice-Hurst. The organization hosts several events a year to both raise awareness and money for the Western Slope's homeless pets.
