Crews on scene: One fatality in car v. house incident

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - UPDATE: Mesa County Coroner, Dean Havlik, says the man who died on scene was 55-year-old Stanley Sanders.

Sanders had was Havlik called a "natural event" while he was driving the truck, causing him to plow through the home.


UPDATE: The Grand Junction Fire Department and Police Department responded to the scene.

The owners of the house said the man that died was driving the vehicle.

KKCO 11 News will continue to update the story as information becomes available.
KKCO 11 News crews are on the scene of an accident that has turned fatal. Information is limited, but reporters say a pickup truck has crashed into a house in the 1900 block of Bunting Avenue.

It's unclear if the person was in the vehicle or in the house. We will update this story as information becomes available.

Traffic along Bunting in the area is blocked off and drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
