Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Classrooms were full far beyond the final bell at Loma Elementary school Thursday evening. As part of read across America day the school hosted its annual cuddle up and read night. A chance for parents and kids to come together to celebrate reading and Dr. Seuss.

Morning show anchor, Therese O'Shea, and Evening show anchor, Glen Mills, were invited as guests. They read a couple of their favorite books, 'Oh, The Places You'll Go' and the 'Foot Book'.

"They look forward to it and it seems like every year it gets better and better and children love to be read to. They love to read themselves so it's just really a wonderful family night,” said Karen Rigg, principal at Loma Elementary.

Reading across America week concludes at Loma Elementary this weekend with the Oh, the Places You'll Go 5k run or walk.
