Cup of Cheer brings holiday spirit to house guests

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Zealous home decorators and the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra joined forces to spread holiday spirit and song.

Four homes were featured in the annual Cup of Cheer, which brings in thousands of dollars for the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.

"It's always such a pleasure to play in a home that's all decorated and beautiful," said Jean Dillon, one of the symphony's violinists.

Callie Ash has 100 boxes worth of Christmas decorations adorning the rooms of her Victorian style house.

"Feel like when you've walked into it you've stepped back over 100 years," Ash said.

Ash said she usually decorates her house to this level for Christmas, but this was the first year she agreed to show it off to support the symphony.

"The Symphony Guild here does such a beautiful job and their concerts are so amazing," she said. "You just have to support an organization like that."
