DENVER (AP) Democrats are hoping young voters will help them get the edge in Colorado's congressional races, some of the most competitive in the nation.

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz will be in Denver on Monday to help sign up new voters at Metro State University. She'll be joined at the drive by Democratic secretary of state candidate Joe (nah-GOOSE') Neguse.

Republicans are trying to pick up six Senate seats in this fall's election to win control of the chamber, including the seat now held by Sen. Mark Udall. The race between U.S. Rep. Mark Coffman and Democratic challenger Andrew Romanoff in suburban Denver is also one of the most closely watched House contests in the country.
