DUI felony bill halted in Senate

DENVER, Colo. Senator Steve King says senate Democrats are to blame for killing a bill that would have pressed felony charges against repeat DUI offenders.

The bill would have made it a class four felony if someone received three DUI citations within a five year period, and it would have made it a class five felony if someone received four DUI citations withing a fifteen year period.

After passing 56-6 in the House Senator King says the Democrats in the Senate voted along party lines to kill the current version of the bill.
