Delta Police arrest Pastor for sexual assault on a child

DELTA, Colo. Delta Police have arrested Jeremias Quintero on charges of Sex Assault. Quintero lives in Delta but is the pastor of churches in Delta, Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction.

According to news release from Delta Police, an investigation was started when the parents of a 14-year-old male alleged Quintero inappropriately touched the child on several occasions. During the investigation, they learned he was a pastor. Police say based on probable cause, they obtained a search warrant and later arrested the man.

He's charged with a class 3 Felony; Sexual Assault on a child by one in a position of trust. His bail has been set at $60,000.

Because of the sensitive nature of the investigation, police say they will not be releasing any additional information.
