DELTA, Colo. (KKCO)-- Delta Police officials have put at least two police employees on administrative leave but are staying tight-lipped about why and exactly how many staff are on leave.
According to a brief release, officers responded to the Delta Wal-Mart on reports of a suspicious vehicle with two people inside just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials say an alleged physical altercation took place and one person was hospitalized.
Apparently officers were involved in the altercation as the release says in accordance with department policy, the employees involved are on paid administrative leave pending the results of an investigation.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been asked to look into the case, and Delta officials say they won't release anything else at this time.
