Diabetes Counts is hoping to raise money to sponsor children with diabetes to send them and their families to a team building camp this summer to help understand their new way of life.
Friday night the group hosted a spaghetti dinner and silent auction fundraiser at Community Hospital.
Vice President Stephany Suell is the mother of a diabetic and a diabetic herself and says the group has helped her son and her entire family feel more comfortable with the condition.
"Finding him playmates that are just like him that have to count carbs and do insulin and its normal it was really a big thing for our family so our son would feel like he was normal," said Suell.
To donate visit the groups website at diabetescounts.weebly.com.
Businesses or individuals can sponsor an entire family for $400 or donate $100 and both get their name on the camp T- Shirts as a sponsor.
If you wish to attend the camp you can also fill out an application on the website.
All money raised goes toward sending diabetics and their families to a team building camp in August.
