Documentary at CMU explores recession impacts

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – A documentary showing at Colorado Mesa University tonight digs into the epicenter of the Great Recession.

“As Goes Janesville” documents the decline of Janesville, Wisconsin, as thousands of jobs were lost and families uprooted.

It addresses the alliance of controversial Governor Scott Walker and small businesses in the wake of the recession.

CMU will host a brief reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by a screening of the film at 7 p.m.

Admission is free. It'll be shown in room 111 in the Academic Classroom Building at CMU. Several speakers will talk about the screening after the film.
