GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) Grand Junction's Main Street is stirring up some holiday spirit for multiple Christmas events Friday night.
More than 200 entertainers from child carolers to professional musicians will perform on the street and inside downtown businesses for Spirit of Christmas Walk.
Stores will be open until 9 p.m. for shoppers to get those last few presents, while enjoying the entertainment.
"It's really just a gift from the entertainers and the merchants of downtown to the community," said Mark Smith, who coordinates the event. "It's kind of an old-fashioned thing. People hanging out, listening to carols."
Stores will have cookies and hot cider available to warm up cold shoppers.
Smith said the night is one of downtown's most profitable of the holiday season.
Enstrom Candies will play tour guide for a Chocolate Walk Friday night.
Participants will go on an art or history walking tour of downtown while enjoying hot chocolate.
Also, Five 60 Salon & Spa is hosting local artists, who will be selling homemade goods, for the Christmas Crawl.
